In Genesis 4:23-24 we read of more murder, directly following the murder of Abel by Cain! V. 23-24,"Then Lamech said to his wives: Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; Wives of Lamech, listen to my speech! For I have killed a man for wounding me, Even a young man for hurting me. If Cain shall be avenged seven fold. Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold."
Even if you do not like reading this blog, it is the truth from the Bible! Lamech was the grandson of Cain! It ran in the family of Cain. Murder! God forgives, but we have no record of Cain or Lamech asking God for forgiveness of taking someone else's life! Sometimes parents take drugs and we hear of their children doing the same. Sometimes parents are drunkards and the children later in life do the same! Can sin be passed down? Yes! We must rush to the feet of Jesus Christ to ask forgiveness for our sins. Each one of us should want to live holy lives each and everyday! God truly wants to forgive: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Will you ask God to forgive you this day?
